Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last reviewed June 2026
Draft for review. This was prepared to reflect how this website actually handles information, but it should be checked before launch (for example against the ICO’s guidance at ico.org.uk) and is not legal advice.
This policy explains how Luxury Garden Buildings UK Ltd collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use this website or get in touch with us. We are committed to handling your information in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Luxury Garden Buildings UK Ltd is the “data controller” for the personal information described here. You can reach us at:
- Unit 3C, Flag House, Ashworth Road, Blackpool, FY4 4UN
- [email protected]
- 01253 366355 / 07817 301809
As a UK business that handles personal data, we are (or will be) registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). [Add your ICO registration number here once confirmed.]
The information we collect
We only collect the information we need to respond to you and to design, quote for and build your garden room. This is information you give us directly when you make an enquiry (through the contact form, the 3D builder, by email or by phone) and typically includes:
- your name;
- your contact details (email address, phone number);
- the address or details of the property where the building would go, when you share it for a site visit or quote;
- details of the building you’re interested in (model, size, cladding, glazing and other options) and anything you tell us about your project.
We do not ask for, or want you to send us, any payment card details or sensitive personal information through this website.
How and why we use your information
We use the information above to:
- reply to your enquiry and answer your questions;
- arrange a site visit and prepare a tailored quote or design for you;
- manage your order and build, and provide aftercare, if you go ahead;
- keep records we are required to keep (for example for tax).
Our lawful bases for using your information are:
- Taking steps at your request before entering a contract: to respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote;
- Our legitimate interests: to run and grow our business and respond to potential customers, in a way you would reasonably expect;
- Performance of a contract: if you place an order with us;
- Legal obligation: where we must keep records by law;
- Consent: if you ever opt in to marketing from us. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
We will only send you marketing if you have asked us to or are an existing customer and have not opted out, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Every marketing message will include an easy way to unsubscribe.
The 3D builder
Our 3D garden-room builder runs entirely in your own web browser: moving the sliders and choosing options does not send anything to us. We only receive the details of your design if you choose to send them to us as an enquiry (for example using the “Request my quote” button, which opens an email to us containing the specification you built).
Where your information is processed
We aim to keep your information within the UK. Some of our service providers may process information on servers outside the UK. Where that happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as UK “adequacy” regulations or an International Data Transfer Agreement) so your information remains protected.
How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry information only for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any project that follows, and then for as long as we are required to keep records (for example for tax and warranty purposes). After that we securely delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information in certain circumstances;
- ask us to restrict or object to how we use your information;
- ask us to transfer your information to another provider;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, please email [email protected]. We will respond within one month.
How to complain
We hope to resolve any concern you have, so please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last reviewed” date at the top of this page.
